Welcome, and thanks for taking the time to stop by the first ever Proship Entertainment Blog entry. We’d like to make this an on-going thing and hope to see you here on a regular basis. Now, I know some of you might be thinking: “haven’t you guys at Proship got better things to do than to start writing a blog?” and my initial answer was “Yes we have!” but this is a direct response to requests from musicians for better communication, and a way to keep you informed about what is happening with Proship, our new clients and our old friends.
Due to the nature of our core “cruise ship entertainment” business, this blog will obviously address a number of cruise musician related topics. There will be the usual; “how to find work on a cruise ship”, “ship life for musicians”, “audition tips for working on ships” etc. which are aimed more at the new musician looking to work on a cruise ship for the first time (the “FNG’s” as some of you call them) But in addition to that, and perhaps of interest to the more experienced players, we will also be delving deeper into the “nitty gritty” of the business side of cruise ships, the breaking news and upcoming trends in the entertainment industry in general.
